Advanced Home Health provides speech, occupational, and physical therapy to our home health patients the require such care. Whether you were injured or need post-op care, our trained staff is ready to help you on your road to recovery. 

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy helps with a variety of problems, including difficult swallowing, slurred speech, and other issues communicating. This is often a necessary treatment for individuals who have experience a stroke or who have another chronic condition that affects their speech.

Our Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) are trained to help in the following areas:

  • Swallowing evaluations
  • Nutritional assessment & education
  • Language skill recovery
  • Speech production
  • Cognitive functioning
  • General communication
  • Tube feeding assessment and education

Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapists (OT) provide in-home treatment that is customized to each individual. It is our goal during treatment to help our patient’s maintain independence and dignity all while helping to address their primary obstacles.

Our OTs may help patients with the following tasks:

  • Getting dressed
  • Taking a shower
  • Cooking meals
  • Writing
  • Grabbing small objects
  • Opening cans
  • And more

Physical Therapy

We want to help our physical therapy patients move forward in their recovery, while helping them maintain their on pace from the comfort of their home. With in-home staff, it is easier to reduce fall risks and continue to encourage improved mobility.

An important aspect of every therapy treatment is ongoing education and ensuring our patients' environments are safe for their continued recovery. Our staff may help rearrange furniture, create visual contrast on light switches and other items to reduce fall risks, and find other ways to increase safety in the home while our staff is not there.
